Seeking investment from the public to install solar panels on 7 community buildings in South Wales.
Egni is Awel Aman Tawe’s latest project and is seeking investment from the public to install solar panels on 7 community buildings in South Wales. Egni is a co-operative and so this is your chance to invest in a sustainable green future.
The total cost of the panels is £155,000. We have already raised £11,000 since our launch last week. The Share Offer will close on April 3rd 2014
You can invest between £250 and £20,000. We project a 4% rate of return per annum which will rise to 10% with tax relief if you are an income tax payer (SEIS
). Please read our Share Offer Document
These are fantastic community buildings which are the hub of their villages. They include Brynaman Public Hall, built by the miners in the 1920s and has the biggest cinema screen in Wales; Dove Workshop in Banwen which was established by local women during the miners’ strike and now provides training courses, a crèche, a cafe and a range of other projects.
Egni will provide free electricity to the buildings and prevent more than 1,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions over the course of the project. Investors will be repaid from income from the Feed-in Tariff.
