Tyfu Pobl publications
Since the beginning of the Tyfu Pobl programme, FCFCG has produced a number of publications for community growers or people interested in setting up a community growing project. Why not check out Different growing systems explained? If you’re just getting started, or thinking about expanding your project it can be tricky to choose the right growing method. This resource will introduce you to the key features of permaculture, forest gardening, organic growing and other common growing systems, and explain how each system can be applied to a community space.
Noticeboard
Does your project have something to sell or freebies to share? Are you looking for equipment, staff or volunteers? We have a new community noticeboard on the Tyfu Pobl blog where growing projects can share wanted and offered ads. To post an ad please email the details, and any relevant photos, to jim@farmgarden.org.uk.
The Wales We Want -  update from Community Land Advisory Service
In November, the Community Land Advisory Service (CLAS Cymru) attended a workshop hosted by Peter Davies, the Wales Commissioner for Sustainable Futures, as part of the Well Being of Future Generations Bill debate.
‘The Wales We Want’ workshop saw CLAS Cymru suggest that the Wales we would like to see is one where every community in Wales has access to enough land to help feed themselves. We would like to see communities in Wales becoming healthier and more resilient through the food they grow.
What Wales would you like to see? The Commissioner wants to hear from our Members as part of his national conversation.
Please click on the link here to tell the Commissioner what Wales your project or community would like to see. You can submit a single sentence, blog about what matters to your community, become a ‘futures champion’ or organise an event to bring people together to talk about the Wales your community or group might want.
If you would like to discuss the national conversation or want help organising an event to debate the type of Wales you would like to see please call 02921 960966 or email lucie@communitylandadvice.org.uk
Merry Christmas from the Tyfu Pobl team!
