Tyfu Pobl News

Wales CSA Gathering, 12-14 September, Flintshire

Calling all Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) schemes in Wales and all those who would like to inject some trust and solidarity into their local food systems.

The annual Wales CSA gathering  is coming up this September, on 12-14 near Mold, North Wales.  Following on from the very successful gathering at Lammas last year, this is a seminal moment for the future of CSA in Wales as we look to kick CSA on to the next level. For more information and to book your place go to the FCFCG website.

Mid Wales Skill Share Gathering, 26 September, Lampeter

This year’s Mid Wales Gathering will be held at Denmark Farm, a pioneering project connecting people with nature, where wildlife conservation is at the heart of all their activities.

The day will be jam packed, including an informative update about FCFCG’s Tyfu Pobl programme, presentations from inspiring community growing projects and opportunities for information sharing. During the afternoon you will have the opportunity to take part in a tour of Denmark Farm’s diverse site, not to mention the chance to participate in a choice of growing related workshops and demonstrations led by local practitioners. For more information and to book your place go to the FCFCG website.

Update from CLAS Cymru

We are pleased to announce that we will be officially launching our joint work with City and County of Swansea Council on 26  September as part of the European Federation of City Farms conference that is being hosted by FCFCG in Swansea.

On the 16th October we will be launching the joint work with Wrexham County Borough Council. The joint work will build upon the good practice that is already taking place and we hope to develop ways of working to help deliver increased community growing activities in these two counties which can be replicated throughout Wales.

In addition in September CLAS Cymru will be contributing to workshop sessions at the Wales Community Supported Agriculture network event being held in Flintshire from the 12 to 14 September. If you are interested in finding out more about the event please visit the FCFCG website.

Don’t forget there is a travel bursary available from CLAS Cymru for community groups, landowners and people supporting developing community growing. You can read more about the bursary on the CLAS website.

Rydym yn falch i gyhoeddi y byddwn yn lansio ein gwaith ar y cyd â Chyngor Dinas a Sir Abertawe yn swyddogol ar 26 Medi fel rhan o gynhadledd Ffederasiwn Ffermydd Dinesig Ewrop a gynhelir gan y FfFfDGC yn Abertawe.

Ar 16 Hydref byddwn yn lansio gwaith ar y cyd â Chyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Wrecsam. Bydd y gwaith ar y cyd yn adeiladu ar yr ymarfer da sydd eisoes yn digwydd a gobeithiwn ddatblygu ffyrdd o weithio i helpu darparu mwy o weithgarwch tyfu cymunedol yn y ddwy sir hyn y gellir ei atgynhyrchu ledled Cymru.

Yn ogystal, ym mis Medi, bydd CLAS Cymru’n cyfrannu at sesiynau gweithdy yn nigwyddiad rhwydweithio Amaethyddiaeth â Chymorth y Gymuned Cymru a gynhelir yn Sir y Fflint ar 13 a 14 Medi. Os oes gennych ddiddordeb mewn cael gwybod mwy am y digwyddiad, ewch i wefan y FfFfDGC.
