Restorative fruit tree pruning
9 May, Moelyci, nr Bangor

On Saturday May 9 there is a restorative pruning day at Moelyci with Ian Sturrock working on some veteran trees and an orchard of 50 trees planted several years ago that need some tlc – limited places so book now!


South West Wales Skill Sharing event
9 May, Cardigan

This year’s South West Wales Skill Sharing and Networking Event will be held at Cardigan Castle. The event will be brimming with activities including a Tyfu Pobl programme update, presentations from inspiring community growing projects and opportunities for networking. During the afternoon you can take part in a tour of Cardigan Castle and participate in a choice of growing related workshops and demonstrations led by local practitioners.


Selling yourself!
12 May, Newtown

This training day will provide you with the tools to “Sell” your organisation to potential volunteers, funders and customers.  The first interactive session will focus on writing your “Elevator Pitch”, a concise, carefully planned and well-practiced description of what you do.  The session on “Working with Business” will identify how you approach businesses for both materials and cash.  “Selling your Produce” will address benefits of selling and legislative requirements.


Travel Bursary trip to Farm Start and Hulme Community Garden, 14 May

On Thursday May 14 we’re running a  study tour from North Wales to the Kindling Trust Farm Start project – training up new entrants to organic horticulture and giving them access to land and a market to trial their venture.  We’ll also be visiting Hulme Community Garden Centre which was set up by local people to help regenerate their community in the heart of Manchester through contact with nature and growing food.Look forward to seeing you there!


Cob oven building
30 May, Lampeter

An inspiring and participatory weekend at Denmark Farm, Lampeter, building an earth oven and learning how to use it. Our trainer Matthew Lloyd started trading as The Fabulous Cob Oven Company in 2011, after he instigated an outdoor classroom project at his local primary school in South Shropshire.

Ar ddydd Sadwrn 9 Mai mae na ddiwrnod tocio adferol ym Moelyci gydag Ian Sturrock yn gweithio ar rai coed hynafol a pherllan o 50 o goed a blannwyd sawl blwyddyn yn ôl ac yn angen rhywfaint o ofal tyner – mae llefydd yng ngyfyngedig felly archebwch nawr!

Bydd y diwrnod yn llawn gweithgareddau, gan gynnwys diweddariad ar raglen Tyfu Pobl, cyflwyniadau gan brosiectau tyfu cymunedol ysbrydoledig a chyfleoedd i rwydweithio. Yn ystod y prynhawn, gallwch fynd ar daith o gwmpas Castell Aberteifi, heb sôn am gymryd rhan mewn gweithdai ac arddangosiadau sy’n ymwneud â thyfu, dan arweiniad ymarferwyr lleol.

Bydd y diwrnod hyfforddi hwn yn rhoi’r offer sydd eu hangen arnoch i “werthu” eich sefydliad i wirfoddolwyr, cyllidwyr a chwsmeriaid posibl. Bydd y sesiwn ryngweithiol gyntaf yn canolbwyntio arnoch chi’n ysgrifennu eich “Cyflwyniad Cyflym”, sef disgrifiad cryno, wedi’i gynllunio’n ofalus, ac wedi’i ymarfer yn dda, o beth rydych chi’n ei wneud. Bydd y sesiwn ar “Gweithio gyda Busnesau” yn amlygu sut byddwch chi’n cysylltu â busnesau at gyfer deunyddiau ac arian. Bydd “Gwerthu eich Cynnyrch” yn mynd i’r afael â buddion gwerthu a gofynion deddfwriaethol.


Taith i ‘Farm Start’ a Chanolfan Gardd Gymunedol Hulme, 14 Mai

Ar ddydd Iau, 14 Mai fydd taith astudio o Ogledd Cymru i brosiect Ymddiriedolaeth Tanio Dechrau Fferm - hyfforddi ffermwyr organig sy’n jyst dechrau allan a rhoi mynediad i dir a marchnad i dreialu eu menter. Byddwn hefyd yn ymweld â Chanolfan Gardd Gymunedol Hulme a sefydlwyd gan bobl leol i helpu i adfywio eu cymuned yng nghanol Manceinion trwy bod yn natur a tyfu bwyd.


Adeiladu popty clai
30 Mai, Llanbedr Pont Steffan

Penwythnos ysbrydoledig a chyfranogol, yn adeiladu popty clai a dysgu sut i’w ddefnyddio. Dechreuodd ein hyfforddwr, Matthew Lloyd, weithredu fel The Fabulous Cob Oven Company yn 2011, ar ôl iddo ysgogi prosiect ystafell ddosbarth awyr agored yn ei ysgol gynradd leol yn ne Swydd Amwythig.
