New PlanLoCal Workshops
We're getting in touch with this quick newsflash to let you know about some free nationwide events you may be interested in, and to update you on the new National Open Homes Network.
New PlanLoCaL Workshops - SAVE THE DATE
You may have already seen the new resources on energy efficiency and Green Deal that we produced as part of PlanLoCaL. The PlanLoCaL (Planning for Low Carbon Living) toolkit is aimed at community groups and organisations working at community level and all the resources are available to download for free from the website. They include template presentations, tools, guidance notes, videos and games.
We’ll be running a series of workshops across the country during July with demonstrations of some of the interactive tools and workshops aimed at inspiring community energy projects. The events will be free to attend for community group members and professionals who want to make the most of this valuable new pack. The dates and locations are:
- 5th July – Birmingham
- 6th July – Manchester
- 12th July – London
- 13th July – Bristol
We’re still finalising the programme at the moment so there’s no need to book right now, just save the date and we’ll be in touch soon with sign up details. However, if you do have any specific questions about the pack or the events then please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
National ‘Open Homes’ Network
DECC launched the National Open Homes Network last week, a hub for groups and organisations running, or planning to run, Open Homes events showcasing low carbon improvements. It will be led by the Centre for Sustainable Energy working in partnership with Bristol Green Doors and will provide resources and support for existing and new organisations to help them to run ‘green’ open homes initiatives.
We’d really appreciate it if you were able to complete this short survey, telling us more about your experience of Open Homes events and/or what you would hope to see from this support service.
If you’d like to know more about what we’re up to as an organisation as a whole you can sign up to our monthly e-news here and if you’re on Twitter then our main address is @cse_bristol, but we also tweet as @cse_communities and @cse_homeenergy.
