Renew Wales Coordinator Training Days

Renew Wales Coordinator Training Days

Renew Wales Coordinator Training Days, Centre for Alternative Technology (The Renew Wales Coordinators, with Sherry from Renew Wales)

On the 20th and 21st January we held our Coordinator Training Days, at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Machynlleth. The programme included topics such as the Well-Being and the Future Generations Act and associated implications for Renew Wales and Localism, grassroots environmentalism and climate activism.

The event was well attended and was a fantastic opportunity for Renew Wales staff and Coordinators to come together, Network and share ideas. It was also a great opportunity for the new Coordinators to be inducted in to Renew Wales and meet their fellow Coordinators.

We hope that all Coordinators found the event to be an enjoyable and worthwhile experience and we look forward to seeing all Coordinators at the next Training Day.

The event was also an opportunity for Sustainable Wales to release three short films profiling the importance of local renewable energy schemes.

“The films, made by innovative Park6 Productions, are a means to broadcast the community energy message and to encourage the public, local authority staff and politicians to learn more”, said Sustainable Wales Director, Margaret Minhinnick.
