Renew Wales May Newsletter

Welcome to the Renew Wales May newsletter.

The Renew Wales 2014 Report has been published

This report is a culmination of a lot of hard work put in by all the organisations that have been involved in delivering work on behalf of Renew Wales over the last 2 and a half years.  The report includes information on how Renew Wales is engaging groups, delivering support, achieving change and some ideas on how it could be taken forward in the future.  Renew has secured funding until the end of December 2015 so will be able to continue the good work over the coming year.

Thanks to all that have been involved with Renew Wales.

Fairtrade Fortnight across Swansea

Fairtrade Fortnight took place last month and The Environment Centre in Swansea held a Fairtrade coffee morning. There were free samples of Fairtrade snacks available, together with Fairtrade tea and coffee. There was an exhibition table with information leaflets and a film about tea makers in Malawi was shown on a loop. It was well supported and the Centre’s coffee shop and Green Shop provided a good backdrop for raising customer’s awareness.

Dr Mz's Pallet Furniture Making Workshop

Following on from the successful pallet furniture making project that took place at the Abacus in Cardiff Renew Wales has been able to support another similar workshop with a group of young people in Carmarthen.
