Networking event for co-operatives in Wales to learn about good practice across the UK

 

Wednesday 11th June

Newtown, Powys

10 am through to 2.30 pm

NB: This event is free to attend.

 

  • Across the UK there are 600 community groups with a strong interest in renewable energy
  • There have been 40 share offers on community renewable energy projects with £17 million raised from 10,000 people
  • The introduction of Feed-In Tariffs has promoted a rapid rise in co-operatives registering for the scheme
  • By 2020 the community renewable energy sector could generate enough electricity to power 1 million homes

 

The networking event welcomes guest speakers who have been there and done it. This event will help renewable energy co-operatives, in Wales, learn from their achievements and experiences

Anyone with an interest in starting a group or already part of one should attend.

  • How to get start up capital to cover feasibility studies

 

  • An increased understanding of the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS)and Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) tax benefits and the extent to which that can benefit the Welsh economy

 

  • The potential impact on climate change in terms of clean energy production, local engagement and benefits.

 

  • Networking with like minded people

  • Mae cyflwyno'r Tariff Bwydo i mewn wedi ysgogi cynnydd cyflym mewn cwmnïau cydweithredol yn cofrestru am y cynllun
  • Erbyn 2020 gallai'r sector ynni adnewyddadwy cymunedol gynhyrchu digon o drydan i bweru miliwn o gartrefi

 

Mae'r digwyddiad rhwydweithio yn croesawu siaradwyr gwadd sydd wedi rhoi cynnig arni. Bydd y digwyddiad hwn yn helpu cwmnïau cydweithredol ynni adnewyddadwy, yng Nghymru, i ddysgu o'u cyraeddiadau a'u profiadau
