Prior to joining Renew Wales centrally, I was a Community Outreach Worker with Sustainable Swansea, which is a project of Swansea Environmental Forum and based at the Environment Centre. We worked with communities and groups, organising activities and events around environmental and sustainability issues. We led the way in preparation and publication of Green Maps and now have a series of 14 maps! I had been in this post for over eight years and previously was a Community Development Worker. I also have a background in policy work within the third sector. I have been committed to sustainability issues for many years and finally decided to undertake a Masters course in Environmental Conservation and Management, which I completed in 2011. I got involved with Renew Wales back at the start as a co-ordinator as it seemed a great new way to engage with groups and help them to work on projects related to climate change. I am now looking forward to my new challenge in the central team at Renew. I am married with two children and am on the fundraising committee at my church, as well as one of its pianists and also secretary of the local Scout group.
