As Community Development Officer AVOW a County Voluntary Council (CVC) I support small to medium charities in all aspects of governance, from correct structures to upskilling trustees to manage their groups with integrity and transparency, working closely to coproduce to deliver community ventures. Sustainability and climate change for these organisations is a huge issue which requires collaborative approach to ensure all stakeholders take responsibility for everyone’s future.
Why are you drawn to this area of work?
My corporate, statutory, third sector experience and networks compliments Renew’s portfolio to deliver climate related support to the third sector organisations in Wrexham.
What’s your vision of the area where you live and/or work in 2050? What will have changed and how will we have got there?
Wrexham has a wealth of expertise in the area that needs to be utilised to make it a better place to live, work for now and the future.
Renew is the platform to deliver these climate initiatives through collaborative partnerships and shared resources.
My future vision for Wales is a cleaner environment, fresh produce, ideally grown and distributed locally without plastic packaging and less vehicles on our roads.
For all stakeholders to care for the environment for our future generations to enjoy and live in.
